    Hi,
    I'm using Win-XP on Dell 9300 laptop.
    Installed HDTV2DVD no problem.

    I have now run HDTV2DVD consecutively on three seperate sessions without a hitch... well almost.

    Each startup has the opening window open larger than on the previous startup, but the program still accepts files being dragged to the input field and processes them beatifully and without a hitch, but on the fourth and in subsequent sessions HDTV2DVD opens in a window whose frame borders extend beyond the max screen resolution size - and although the window itself can be moved around, it cannot be resized, and worse; the input field no longer accepts files being dragged to it... Bummer!

    I've tried simply reinstalling (and also removing completely and then reinstalling) the program but this does not correct the problem. Only a "system restore" to a point before the initial HDTV2DVD installation allows me to reinstall HDTV2DVD and run it another three times before the opening window then again becomes larger than the maximum screen resolution.

    The HDTV screen size cannot be altered at any stage even in the first three operable startups and does not restore it's last window position or size - I think that if this feature alone were available in the normal drop down menu, this problem could be resolved!? If the program author is the reader, could I beg a solution please.

    In any case I cannot find another closley related issue on the board, and hope this is may be the best place to make this submission.

    Any help would be much appreciated. I appear to be the only one with this problem.

    Cheers,
    Sleepy2

    P.S. Just tried SVCD2DVD and when I drag a file to the input field the immediate crash result error log follows below - :

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.

    I was having the same problem. The easiest solution I've found is to go to Start-Run-Regedit, then search for "HDTV2DVD". Delete the entire Key called "HDTV2DVD 2.0". It contains a DWord value called WindowSize that apparently won't stay consistent. When you restart HDTV2DVD, the key is recreated in the Registry, and the program starts with the default window size. Kind of a pain, but it works.

    This is really weird. Anyone know why the window size of HDTV2DVD would increase each time it is run? (Yeah, I found a fix, but I hate Band-Aids... I wanna know WHY! )
