Recently i have been having trouble burning DVD's in Nero Burning Rom. I usually burn video TS folders. Anyway whenever i hit burn, a message comes up and says, (DVD-Video files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?) What is this? How do i fix this problem?

More information about exactly what you are doing would be helpful. One way that can lead to this problem is if you use something like IFOEdit to split a dual layer DVD into 2 discs and you failed to copy over a titleset that the DVD required. One possible solution for this particular problem is to use IFOEdit to split the disc in 2, copy all other titlesets over and then (if necessary to save space) use something like VOB Blanker to blank out unneeded titlesets. All titlesets will be present on both discs although some will be blank, but that should be enough to satisfy Nero.

However, other things could cause this message and without more details on what you are doing before you try to burn, I have no way of knowing if you are even splitting dual layer DVDs or not.

  3. Read very carefully and completely the DVD spec. Examine very carefully and completely the specs of the video you are making. If you are certain it is completely within spec, then Nero is probably wrong and you may continue. However, Nero may re-encode to get the file to where it thinks it needs to be, thus ruining all your hard work.

Since I do not know exactly why Nero is giving you this message, I have no idea what you need to do, other than the above procedure and possibly turning off the compliance check.

Nero says your DVD-Video files are messed up. Usually something wrong with an IFO or BUP file. That's what that error message is telling you.
