    Hi all,

I have tried to search for the answer to this on here with no luck. I am using DVD Dycrypter and Videora to convert my dvds into the correct format for my IPOD.

    All works well.

I cant seem to rip more than the first episode of any dvd series to my hard drive with dvd.

For exapmle I put 'The Office' in which has about 6 episodes on it and dvd dycrypter only rips episode 1.

Are my settings out?? Can some one point me to the correct settings please.

    Thanks a lot.

    K

Depending on how the disc is authored, you may need to use IFO mode and select each PGC in turn, which should correspond to an episode each. Alternatively, some discs have episodes in the same PGC, in which case selecting or deselecting the applicable chapters should work fine. And BTW, set file-splitting to none if you wish to get one big VOB file per episode. See the link below for more info on automating the process:

Batch ripping episodic disc using DVD Decrypter:

    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. When using DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode, by default it chooses the longest episode (not always the first one). After you have the first one, go looking for the rest. You'll be able to easily spot them by the similar lengths. They'll either be different PGC's within the same VTS, or the same PGC within different VTS's. And sometimes, as jimmalenko explained, they'll all be contained within the same PGC and you'll have to split by chapters. Based on your description of getting only the first episode, that's not true in your particular example. Good to remember for the future, though.

So, after you find the rest, make new folders on the hard drive (maybe Ep1, Ep2, Ep3, etc.), and decrypt each in turn.

May be similar to those stargate disc's ... a right pain in the ????

I used dvdcopyexpress or something with a similar name to rip the entire disc to hd first .

Dvdshrink was then able to see all the episode's ... there was meant to be four ... but there was eight listed .

Click reauthor mode , and reathor to seperate folders each episode listed ... in this case , after playing each one to check , 1 , 3 , 7 , 8 were the correct one's ...

    --------------

Try dvdfab (disc to hd) and dvdshink (reathor mode , after initial scan of dvd content from folder) .
