    hi guys.....todays my anniversary, and i just wanted to know if there is any software out there i can use with my webcam, to record sound and stuff, so i can send a vidmail to my wife. im willing to pay for it, i just dont know trhe name of any....can u guys help me out...holla back

    Hi,

    Virtualdub should work with your webcam, but because it is a USB device the recording will look like slow motion, you need a microphone to record the sound, and configure the sound properties to record from mic.

    For the smallest possible file size you might download and install the DivX codec and compress the final edited file with it, you will find guides to do this in the forum guides.

    any other programs would you recomend, also....how do i configure vdub to capture
