I have been trying to capture video directly from my HP Pavilion web cam to Sony Vegas pro. I am having various problems.
I capture the video, but right as I click done a box pops up that says, "An error occurred", and, "an exception was made." But then the box closes and no video is displayed in the project media. But the video file I had just recorded is displayed in my documents. In Windows Media Player, the audio of the video plays in normal speed, but the video plays in slow motion. If I try to drag that video to Sony Vegas only the audio is able to be played. I have no idea what the problem is! I am pretty sure it is not the web cam that is dysfunctional because I use it for various other tasks and it always works fine. I think it has something to do with Vegas.
Unfortunately this is all the insight I can give because I have no idea what the issue is. I posted this thread here because I am not sure where I would classify this because I don't know what isn't working correctly.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.![]()
