  1. More rumor than news at this point:

IT LOOKS LIKE one of the first victims of AMD-ATI merger is the ATI All In Wonder line.

I've had ATI All-In-Wonder cards in my last 2 PC's, but they're really become very disposable now.

I recently upgraded my computer with an ATSC tuner card (it also accepts S-Video & RCA inputs) and it totally replaced all the input video functions my AIW card had. And as far as outputs go, most video cards these day come with atleast S-Video outputs, some even have DVI outputs, so that replaces the output functions of the AIW card.

    No big deal.

I hope the support is around for a while. My AIW X800XT is less than 2 months installed.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  4. I have always used and enjoyed the All In Wonder series of video cards, but honestly it makes much more sense to use dedicated TV Tuner and Capture cards. I upgrade my video cards fairly often (once or twice a year, at least), but since I've switched away from All In Wonder cards, I've kept my TV Tuners and capture cards constant throughout all my upgrades. Lets face it-- how many different AIW cards use the exact same capture chipset, and simply change the video chipset with newer versions?

This is still a shame, but not as big of a loss as it may initially appear.
