I have an AVI file (xvid) with 2 audio streams. I installed Morgan Stream Switcher and I am able to switch between streams properly.
I used MMAviInf to name the streams "English" and "Japanese". When I re-open the AVI in MMAviInf, it displays the names properly, so I know it saved it correctly in the LIST INFO chunk.
Also in Gspot it displays the proper names "English" and "Japanese".
But still when I play the AVI in WMP6 (and even in Bsplayer) it simply says "audio track 1" and "audio track 2" in the audio stream menu.
What could be the problem?

That the players ignore the stream names?

If you don't need one of the streams, you can permanently disable it in VirtualDubMod. Set direct stream copy for both video and audio, open stream list and disable the one you don't need, or try to change their order to make the desired one play by default. Then save the modified file in old avi format.
