I have a Panasonic player which will only play mpeg1 and only if they were encoded with the default encoder in DVDx. All others produce jerky picture or none at all. I've tried cce2.5, tmpeg, lsx. I have even used some of these as plugins with DVDx with no success. The DVDx encoded ones work very well up to 2500 bitrate. Even downloaded clips don't work. What does the encoder in dvdx do that makes it more compatable. It's very slow so that is why I would like to know what the key is. I would also like to be able to play downloaded movies without having to re-encode with dvdx. Any ideas would be appreciated.
