I'm not sure about the
frame sizes, doesn't they support lower frame sizes also?
max video bitrate for bluray? can't find it anywhere
does hd-dvd support text subtitles? the chinese pdf isn't that easy to read...

It will be exciting once we get some HDTV encoders ... will be fun trying this all out ... although I hate to think of the encoding times
It will probably be like when I did MPEG-2 DVD spec encoding on my old Intel P3 650Mhz ... I remember when a 2 pass VBR with TMPGEnc Plus would last 48 hours for a normal length movie!
Now I have a MUCH faster computer but I am afraid that with the much higher resolutions of HDTV encoding that the encoding times are going to be very long.
But I'm game ...
