    I have installed the Panny DMR-E55 and am unable to move/save any of the content recorded on the Cox box to the HDD in the E-55 prior to burning to disc. Has anyone a suggestion of how to accomplish? Yes, I am a newbie and probably posted on the wrong forum (DVD recorders maybe?).

    I don't believe the data can be "moved". You will need to connect the audio/video out of the Cable box to the input of the DMR-E55. Then playback and record in realtime.
