  1. Hello, i want to convert some parts of a dvd to avi, but i want that avi to have the subtitles embedded.
    It can be done?
    How?

    Or for nore information on subtitles, visit our Subtitle forum.

    VDM can load VOBs directly and convert to AVI type formats or you can convert the VOBs first to MPEGs and use them that way.

    If you want embedded subtitles, you will have to encode them in as part of the video. Baldrick's method is fairly simple, considering all the steps that have to be done.

    If you just want to convert a DVD to a subtitled Xvid or similar, try a program like FairUse Wizard or AutoGK. The subtitles will be a separate file in the video folder.

    In a DVD they are muxed into the VOBs.
