    RE: Morpheus Grokster Kaza

I'm Looking for a 2nd alternative to these three, though
I use Morpheus only (other two are the same I heard)

When I'm looking for samples or want to share my sample
clip(s) to someone specificly/only, I'd like to be
able to give this person my clip directly or vis-versa.
In addition, I'd like to be able to maybe setup where I can
distribute my clips to a number of people, and send them
whatever file(s) I want to them, ie,
    joe1 - "5th element.mpg"
    tom2 - "5th element.mpg"
    jan3 - "star trek.mpg"

    Or, something like this above.

Is there anything like this available?
I'd be willing to give it a look and test with a few here
just to see how effective it is. At least I can then be
able to know for a fact I'll be getting a file or sending
    (file sharing) for sure.

Thank you for any suggestions that may help me with
    this.

setting up a ftp server would be your best bet.

  3. Do a search for AIMster, its just what you are looking....napster but only for the folks on your AIM buddy list (you can always make a new screen name just for your file swapping buddies)

if you are not behind a firewall, I think you can also use newer versions of aim to have a directory on your hard drive where your buddies can snag files from and drop them into....not really sure, haven't played with file transfer in a while... I'm always behind a firewall

    SteveDVD,

    of course I'm on 56k!!!!!

I have NO choice, despite whta others were saying about that NTL thing
    or something.
    * I can walk into my nearest cable company and ask them (have, twice)
    * I can also walkin to Verizon and I get the same answer. This place is where
the people put out and install the phone lines and things.

No, can't get DSL or Cable, and although I have DirecTV, THEY are NOT offering
it in my area. Ben checking every week - quite franly, they are tired of me!

So, am I trying to hard, or not hard enough - you decide!

Whats up the not being able to use FTP or G6 ? ? ?

Ok, to all that might be curious. . .

I think I have found an alternative or compramise to STorage/FIle sharing issues
    here.

At current, i'm testing out a POP provider that supplies me w/ 20mb of space.
