Ok, well i have four questions, and the first one is:

If i am going to burn a Movie that i have on my computer to a DVD+R Disk so i can play it in a DVD player, does the video file need to be in a specific format? Or can it be good in AVI? Because say i have an AVI File on my desktop, and i want to write it to a DVD+R CD through my External DVD Writer, can i just open somthing like Nero and burn that AVI File to the DVD+R using their DVD Feature, or do i need to convert it to somthing else?

    Second Question:
How do you convert DivX Media Format to .avi, or a format that i can use to write the video file to a DVD+R CD

    Third Question:
If there is a special fromat that the file has to be in, can you provide a program to convert any format to the format it needs to be?

    Fourth Question:
What DVD Format do DVD Players read? (DVD+R or DVD-R)

A1: Please click on "DVD" in upper left, which will explain to you how a DVD is laid out and what format of file it must have. Basically it must be MPEG2 in 1 GB VOB chunks along with IFO indices. NeroVision may be able to handle the conversion, but not regular Nero.

On the other hand, there are some DVD players that can play DIVX files directly.

A2: DivX is actually a variant of AVI format, and usually just rename the extension to AVI is enough.

A3: Please search in the tools section

    A4: Both, plus DVDROM
