  2. happens to me also. Is your source a DivX? If so, what version of the codecs you have?

Yes, it is called source range in Tmpeg, just take the last frame you were on, add one and resume the encoding with the same paramaters. Then Join the two mpeg files.

  6. After spending hours searching forums to find an answer to my first problem with TMPGenc ( XXXX.AVI cannot open or unsuported) I came across this forum and was well chuffed to find an answer.
All was working fine (the encoding) untill 38% when I too got the "Illegal floating decimal point" error.
Can anyone please give me detailed instructions on how to sort it out or continue the encoding as I only downloaded TMPGenc 2 days ago and have very little knowledge of it.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. heres a tip :- stop using div-x!! god knows why people still do...thier 'fast-mo- just produces crap..anyway its a hack of the m2 mpeg4 v3 anyway..and the official div-x hasnt done me any favours at all...JUST USE MS MP4 V2 ive stuck to it for ages and no real complaints so far

  8. HraMxPx: Here's what I did. Look in the upper right hand corner of TMPGEncode and look at the frame number that you get the error on. When you start the next MPEG set the starting source setting to a few frames after that.

Or alternatively, copy the new MPEG that TMPGEncode just made to another folder, this is because sometimes TMPGEncode deletes the file since it failed. Load that new MPEG into TMPGEncode and move to the end position. Use that as a reference and start the next part a few frames after that.

  10. Hi,

Source Range is under Settings on the Advanced Tab, double-click and move the slider bar to the right, TMPGEnc will error out at the spot where the error is, take note of the time/frame. Be patient, it depends how large the error is, start by making your Start Frame the one you noted +1 and then press Move to End Frame.

If it errors out, make Start Frame +2 etc. until no errors.

    Cheerz.
