  1. I've been try'n to convert a .flv video to put on my iPod but only get audio.
Tried the usual iSnitch but it doesn't like it as its Flash 8, tried MoviePod but it errors, so put it into ffmpegx and it converts it fine but I only get audio, tried a few different formats but always the same, when you drag the .flv into ffmpegx it says video is 0x0004 (pic below) which I'm picking is the issue.
The file plays fine with Wimpy FLV Player so I know that the file is OK, is there a codec I need to install or something else I'm missing thats screwing the video side of things? I've got the audio which is the most important thing to me but would like to get the whole video on my iPod if I can, so if anyone can suggest why its not work that would be great as I don't seem to be having much luck 8-(
    Cheers.

It could be that your FLV file has VP6 video, in which case you'll have to wait for a new version of ffmpegX, as it seems VP6 decoding was added to ffmpeg and mplayer source only recently.

Right when we think the perfect codec is discovered and everything is going to be simpler, the 2nd law of thermodynamics kicks in and you have to wait again.
