    I want to start putting my videos onto Vcd's what steps do i have to take to get some good quality Vcd's out of my P.C. (what kind of card do I need, ram, media editor, burner, so on and so forth. thanks

    You will need a capture card - that is inevitable - so I would work through the great "Capture Card List" in the "Other" section of this website. Then, when you have made a choice, you can see what minimum requirements are needed and work from there upwards.
