how to backup pc game

i backed up my command and conquer 3 game but when i try to use it, it says "please insert original disc" and wont load up. any ideas, used alcohol 120, and clonecd and they both say the same thing

That program is designed to help with determining the type of protection that might be in use ... exe packed, weak sectors, ect ...

It's not easy to back-up game discs. Plain and simple truth. They are NOTHING
like audio CDs or video DVDs. Once you accept that fact you will be much better off.
