  3. instead of critising him you could offer some helpful advice Kdiddy and give a quick answer.
in TMPGEnc goto File --> Mpeg Tools --> Merge & Cut (farthest tab to the right). Change the Type to MPEG-1 Video-Cd. (or mpeg-2 super video cd if you're making svcd's). Then click add and place the mpeg file there (make sure you've already converted from avi to mpeg), select the file and click on Edit, then drag the bar to about halfway through the movie where there is a good place to cut it in two, and hit the } button, then click on correct then choose where you want to save it. when its done the first half highlight the file again and click on edit, then go to the spot just before where you cut it off last time and hit the { button, then drag to the end of the movie and hit }. then correct then select where you want to save it, and you have your two files that are ready to burn. Also note that if you have a movie that is just a little too long to fit on one cd you can cut off the most of the credits at the end to save some space. hope this helps.
