Cant Burn DVD+R DL w/ Pioneer DVR-111D using Nero See Error

After 3 lost disks, I now seek advise.
Firmware is Version 1.23
Using Xp home P4 with 1GB of memory
DVD Shrink encodes fine and starts tu burn for a few minutes at 2.4x but then it fails using nero 7.
FYI, I am able to burn single layer disks using the same procedure just FINE.
Any help is appreciated.

I also have a Pioneer DVD 16X Writer (Not sure of model#) and a NEC 16X DVD Writer and with NERO 6 ULTRA EDITION and it will not even reconize a 2.4 DOUBLE LAYER DISC but it will reconize a VERBATIM DVD+R DL discs and write to them at 8X speed. The double layers discs are MEMOREX and STAPLE brand 2.4 disc. However I download imageburn from off this site and it does reconize the 2.4 double layers disc and they work just fine for me. Also you can print out a set of the complete instructions from off this site too. GOOD LUCK

Maybe an upgrade to the firmware described in the following link will solve your problem, that is what I intend to do if I eventually get the 111D.
