  1. Hello, I've had some questions about a new DVD Recorder and I haven't been able to find much info on my own.

I had a Panasonic DMR E85 for 13 months when it broke down on my. Now my credit card insurance is giving me the option of buying a replacement machine. I'm in Canada and I'm having trouble finding one similar to my old Panasonic which I was happy with, so I've been looking at other brands.

As long as it has at least 120 GB of hard drive space I'm happy. The only other thing I"m really concerned about is the ability to dub shows recorded on Viewer's Choice PPV to DVD. My old Panasonic did this without a problem, but I've been hearing it may not work with Toshiba brand players, is this true? What other machines migth I have this problem with?

Anyway, anyone with a good suggestion of a DVD Recorder, please post here or PM me, if you can provide an online store that ships to Canada or within Canada, that would be great.

(EDIT: Also if you have any other recommendations of medium for getting a show from TV to a DVD with chapters and ability to cutout commericals that you recommend as more reliable, feel free to throw that in)

    Thanks,
    Mark

For hard drive models, I hear alot of folks are happy with Pioneer or LG machines.

  3. LG Really? I have seen a few reasonably priced LG ones. There specs look good, but does anyone know how there features and menus are?

Pioneer is one I'm leaning towards, but the one I was looking at only has analog input.
