    Recently I've been investigating how to change a dvd which is PAL to one which is NTSC. I've met with varying degrees of success (mostly appearing to be failure), and I'm still on the look out for the best way.

    Along the course of this journey, I've heard (read) it mentioned a couple of times that there is a "longer way" to do this (rather than simply running the files through patching programs). Extracting the individual files (movies) and reauthoring (in a completely different program or project) as a new disc (possibly with new attributes). How does one go about doing this?
