How do you get this done? What are the essentials? I'm trying to get my bedroom to show the same programs as what is showing in the living room. I also want to be able to view what i want and not what is showing in the living room. How can I get this done?

If in the same house and if local laws conform, you use one of these.

Your TV needs to be able to tune the cable channels. Digital cable channels will need a separate cable box at each TV in most cases.

...And, of course, you may need a cable box for the premium cable channels as well, such as HBO, Cinemax, etc.
