    Does anybody know if it is possible to de activate macrovision on the above dvd player as you can with the GDV124 through the handset?

    aha i came to ask the very same question, also is it possible to unlock the regions on this player ? ive tried using the codes for the GDVD 124 but they dont seem to work

    sorted the region free remote hack.

    anyone who needs it do the following

    turn on DVD and open draw
    press SETUP
    select CUSTOM
    press 33333

    this opens secret settings menu offering regions 0-6.

    Still no joy with the macrovision though.
