I was setting up my new Dell desktop. I installed office, Adobe acrobat, my SBC software and Norton System Works. I did the windows updates, installed Windows defender. When I rebooted my computer I got the Blue sceen of death. I went into safe mode and started uninstalling the last programs I installed. Tried rebooting again and I get the same thing.
    Help please.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Use the Dell System restore to take it back to like new and only install one at a time until you find the culprit. I have seen this problem with System Works in the past with older versions. You are trying with the newest version? Also could be Live update before restarting could help.

Consider yourself lucky that is all you got ny installing so much software that shares files and it still works. You should have been restarting the computer long before the second application was installed and the third . . and the fourth . . and the fifth.

But since you have dug this hole for yourself you could try your Dell Restore disc to hopefully revive your XP installation and see if it has the ropes to pull you out.
