I have tried to search for an answer to my problem with no results.

I have a sony dvd camcorder that uses mini dvds and am trying to burn one of the discs so that I can distribute my home movies to family. I have the software (Iburndvds2) that allows me to burn normal dvd but it is not allowing me to burn the minis. What can I do?

    Thanks, Brian

Why burn to miniDVD and not a cheaper + more universal normal DVDR? Are you saying these need to be played in a similar camcorder and not on a normal DVD player? That may present other issues of compatibility with the other camcorder.

I'm assuming you have a computer with a DVD writer and software that will copy the DVD.

I use DVD Author to creat and burn the mini dvd to the normal dvd. It's very simple, save time and disks. You can put about 8 mini dvd into one normal dvd-/+r.

    Minidvd to cd .

    Less than 700mb's only .

Open you dvd in pgcedit , chose from option's "save as iso" ... wait ... then close pgcedit .
Open imgburn , chose write , choose image file (the new iso) .
Slap cd in burner ... wait a couple of second's for speed of media to be detected .
    Set burn speed to 4x , and go nutt's ... wait .

When done , close imgburn ... delete iso , enjoy minidvd .

Not tested , but if imgburn is dvd decryter underneath ... it should work fine .

It will depend on player's though ... some dont understand these dic's .

    --------

You can do all this from within pgcedit ... as far as I understand ... but relies on the product that dose the burning to media to be allready installed .

  5. Mini DVD are great for mailing in a standard envelope. Just add a little bit of cardboard if you are nervous. I use Ulead Burn and it works fine for me.
