It could be your player - many older players cannot read burned DVDs

    It could be media incompatibility

    It could be your drive.

You have not provided enough info for anyone to try to help you.

Okay, thanks.... let me try and elaborate a little. The move is downloaded but paid for and not copyrithted. The program I am attempting to use to make the DVD is the new Nero 7.2 Ultra addition, and the DVD player is a brand new Panasonic that says it reads and writes DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD -RW, DVD-RW, etc.

What else can i give you. Please... not trying to be smart, I feel really dumb.

    Thanks for any help

Are you able to play the DVD on your computer? Try VLC if you don't have a program like PowerDVD installed.

I would first suspect the DVD media. Try a different brand. That's one of the easiest things to change and the most common source of that type of problem. You can look to the left under 'DVD Writers' for your burner and see what is suggested. Also check 'DVD Players' for your player and see what is suggested for it also. Just about every burner or player has at least one brand or type of media that's incompatible with them.
