Anyone think Apple will eventually offer a Mac Pro config with one or more Core 2 Duos instead of the Xeons? I'm leaning toward a Mac Pro over an iMac, due to the complete lack of DIY-upgradeability of the iMacs (plus I recently bought a 19" Dell Ultrasharp).
I just think the Xeons are overkill for my needs, but I'm no CPU guru.
Thanks!
Gary

No, The Mac Pro is Apple's top-of-the-line workstation, and will always use a premium chip. They may release a Mac Pro with a single Xeon in 6 months or so, if they follow the previous pattern.
