I got a problem with my new Athlon 64 4200 that I just bought. It's good but I can't install daemons tool to mount ISO since Athlon doesn't like daemons tool that much and when I try to install Alcohol 120, my Athlon didn't like it either. I got an error message as the pc couldn't find the virtual drives and also there's error loading Alcohol or daemons tool. Anyone knows a good tool to mount ISO for Athlon system please let me know. Btw I have no problem with Alcohol on my older pentium4 system. Appreciate very much, I was away from this site a long time, even forgot my pw and username hehee...

Try ISOBuster for extracting image files (if thats what you're doing).

I have no problems whatsover using daemon tools on my AMD system. (Neither did with my previous AMD Athlon XP and my current AMD 64 3500+)

I never had any problems with Deamon tools on my old athlon. You are either very unlucky, holding your mouth wrong, or have other problems with your system.

Deamon tools also crashes now on a MC XP install on an amd64 system - i wonder if it may be some MS update .. it will not install proper , so it seems , though the driver i finally got to work manually installing it ....

but switched to Alcohol 120 and it works perfect = plus it has right click menu context as well as image burning ....

I have found Daemon tools to be clunky at best. A number of systems had issues after using that software. I gave up on it. However with the purchase of Alcohol 120 and everything works great. I have Alcohol installed on an Athlon 64 3000+, an X2 3800+, an Opteron 170, and an Intel D930 with no issues to report. All using Win XP Pro SP2 except the 3000+ which uses media center edition.
