  1. There was a time when I made a disc image with dvditpro6 whose the project had a layout of 4.7GB dvd5, the project end up having a remaining 1.8MBs... I thouhgt it will fit on my 4.7 DVD-R tayon... later that evening I tried burning it but dvddecrypter said it won't fit, I though maybe if I extracted the 5.26gb image the size will reduce and end up burning it, but as I was extracting it I received a read error! I couldn't believe it, I don't think my HD has read errors I said to my self, so I had no choice... but to unveil my DL DVD.

Why did I receive disc errors if the image was on my HD. is it normal for dvd images to have intentionaly errors or is this another mistery?

My god man ... you can't spell for shit!

I'm reading this from work and I dare say I have to go home now ... because I've pissed myself from laughing SO hard at your pathetic spelling mistakes.

vhelp makes more sense than you do!

A DVD-5 will only hold about 4.37GB, the incorrect 4.7 size is explained in 'What is' DVD to the upper left. A disc image of a DVD file could appear as a 'disc' I suppose and have a disc error, though I haven't seen that.

And for spelling, if you use IE, try IE Spell, a freeware toolbar program: http://www.iespell.com/

Actually that sounded like an offer to help.

Although some people around here can be so trollish when it comes to spelling errors. They think they are superior because of it. Simply ignore them. I would never use a spell checker for forum postings. so what if you misssspell a word or two or even use bad grammar. As long as the general idea of what you are saying or asking is apparent neither of those should be of consequence. In the internet forums there will always be those people who simply have nothing to add to a topic but degrading and demeaning banter. Take heart in knowing these people are shallow.

No one really cares about a spelling error here or there or one sentence that comes out a bit nonsensical due to erratic thought ... we all make such mistakes.

    However...

The first post in this thread is so full of spelling and grammar errors as to be a butcher job of the English language. I'm talking coat hanger abortion here.

    It's sad.

And yet the entire post makes sense and is well explained. Go figure. I don't readily have an answer for the OP because I have never experience what has happened but I had zero problems reading the post and understanding it.

Mystery or mistery they both sound and read the same way to me. 8)

  8. So does anybody know why if the project saif it had 1.8mb remaining, the disc image had a oversex of 0.56GB? shouldn't dvdit know what is doing? Does anyone know of a fix for this program to calcuate well the results?

Have you tried using dvdshrink? If the video is still in dvd format, then you could compress it so it will fit on to one disc.

    Who said anything about "winzip?
Compression relates to MANY things besides winzip.

You run your final image through DVD Shrink, if it's too big to fit onto a single layer dvdr,
DVD Shrink will allow you to make it smaller and fit

Don't pull things out of thin air that NOBODY even mentioned to try and make it harder than it has to be, if you click the link you will see what DVD Shrink is, it has nothing to do with winzip, as nothing in this thread does.

dvdshrink still keeps it in dvd format. It just compresses the film to fit onto a disc.

Check the menu of the video he is copying... I assumed that if he was copying a spanish video and had problems with english.... well... 1+1=?

Since he didn't reply, I assume I was mistaken...

EDIT: Also check the OS Language he uses for WinXP. That's spanish!!
