  1. I have an old movie called Face of Marble 1946 that is in need of restoration. From what I have been able to find out the original film print has a bad case of the jumps probably due to sprocket damage. It is such a low budget flick that it probably won't get special treatment in the foreseeable future.
My question is this: Is there a professional software that will analyze and re-center each frame of film.
I don't mind spending the cash for advanced software specifically designed for this purpose. Hollywood's restoration people have a program but I don't know what it is called.
    Thanks in advance.

It's freeware. But you need to use VirtualDub or VirtualDub Mod (Accepts MPEG) and they only output AVI. But VD has many filters available, all freeware that you can try. Maybe not professional, but good for experimenting to see what you can do with the video. You can find Deshaker here: http://www.guthspot.se/video/deshaker.htm

A good selection of other VD filters here: http://neuron2.net/

  4. Strange, they show it's been released, but I don't see a link for it yet either. Might have the Russian version only up right now?

  5. Thanks all.
I tested it on a small clip and it worked, removing all of the jumping.
    Amazing.
