I'm somewhere in the middle. I generally tend to be quiet but I can speak up when the situation calls for it.

I have both. I'm usually somewhere in the middle, but i know when a louder voice is needed, ie class presentations, or asking questions in the giant lecture halls, or talking to customers at work. I consider myself highly skilled at talking

In general I think I'm in the middle, but I can go really quiet or really loud if the situation calls for it. I also have what my wife refers to as 'The Voice' which is extremely effective at controlling dogs and children.

I tend to up the volume when talking on the phone. Really hate it when people talk soft (or mumble) on the phone.

I think the loud has come from family - when at family gatherings everyone talks at the same time across each other, if you want to be heard you learn to speak loudly.
