I've been trying to burn a DVD continaing two mpeg1 files. It works ok, and I can view the result on my PC. But when I view it with my standalone player, there's a problem. It looks like the kind of thing you'd see on an old projector in which two frames are shown at once.
What I see is a vertical band about 7/8 of the way across the screen, and then a small band of video.
What can cause this?!

Post the log from this run, sounds like something odd with your source files.
If I understand your other post, you had two files, both mpeg 1, 130 and 195 MB each, and you end up with a full DVD. This doesn't sound right. If the files were true mpeg 1, only the audio should be encoded (and only if neccessary) and you should have a very small DVD file of about 325 - 350 MB. Do you have something like GSpot that can read the files and post the results?Dwight

Is your DVD player in progressive scan mode? If so, try turning progressive mode off.
