I got a TV tuner card, PowerColor Theater 550 Pro, and I got it working without any problems. I am running it along with my Nvidia 7600gt. But the picture isn't the best when recording from TV and I see on the box that it came with that it has a 3d Comb Filter, Anti-Aliasing Filter, and noise reduction. But I haven't been able to find those options to activate them. I first tried the most up to date driver and then I tried the driver that came with the card but I still can't find any menus to activate these options. I also installed Catalyst Center and but it only pics up my Nvidia card, not the Powercolor 550 pro. I checked the Drivers for devices in Device manager and I can't see that card installed anywhere, only in 'Sound, Audio, and Game Controllers' do I find an ATI driver but it is for streaming. I know the card is installed properly on the system because it works fine and CyberLink and GB-PVR both detect the card.
Any suggestions on where I might enable the 3D Comb Filter, Anti-Aliasing Filter, and the noise reduction for this card? Judgeing by the qaulity of tv recorded programs, I don't think they are enabled.

The catalyst control centre doesn't have any options for that card. Go to the download page (on ati.com) and find the drivers for the card... on that same page, you can find a control panel for the card, which allows you to change the most important settings.

I'm at school so I haven't been able to try the ATI control panel yet. But I got an email in from the tech support at Powercolor and they said that the 3d comb filter, noise reduction, and anti aliasoning is hardware implanted and is automatically on. Is that true or is that b.s. since ATI doesn't write thier software to support Powercolors card?

It's true, but if you want to adjust the filters, you need something like the control panel.

I tried the control panel tonight and it worked....whew. I'm so glad. This TV tuner card was a really good deal...they had them for 45.00 on newegg after rebate and I was scared I was going to have to send it back. So glad now I get to keep it and record my video game shows on G4

One thing about the control panel, though. The volume control doesn't seem to work, but the other filters do.

Are you sure the other filters work? I adjusted the filters dramatically and can't see a difference when I record a show and play it back. I am getting allllooooottt of noise in my picture. Alot more than the reviews I have read show. I am wondering if I bought a later model that is not as good.

Well, many people say they don't work, but ATI keeps saying they do. I think they were activated all the time, and can't be adjusted. I've heard of some people that say that the preview seems much better than the captured video, but I haven't tested too much myself.
There's a very big thread on Hexus.net about this cards, so you might want to ask one of the ATI guys over there.
