  1. Is there any simple way to do this that doesn't look like complete crap?

I was thinking you could create animations with Macromedia Dreamweaver...but i'm not so sure now.

    Any help would be great...

Ulead use to have a product call GIF Animator. Version 5 was the last I saw. They used to sell it for a nominal fee then they started giving it away with some of their other products. I've used it once or twice worked OK but you needed a little patience. Check them out and see if it's still available:www.ulead.com.

Photoshop has a sister program installed with it called imageReady that allows you to create GIF's in seconds just put all the images you want to animate in to a folder name them xx1 xx2 or whatever as long as they are numbered correctly they will stay in that order when you import the folder into imageready
Vote for me and all your wildest dreams will come true

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware that Imageready could do that.

SUPER will create animated GIFs from movie clips, great for making avatars and such.

Yeah Imageready was the program I was thinking of, not Dreamweaver. I have it and was using it yesterday but couldn't figure out how it worked exactly. I'll try it how you're describing.

    Thanks guys!

Fireworks also creates animated GIFs (if you have the studio suite). For really smooth animation from video, or like those you often see in avatars, more specialized programs might be needed. Do a search on the forums, there have been a number of discussions.
Some people say dog is mans best friend. I say that man is dog's best slave... At least that is what my dogs think.
