Menu with 6 frames. Each frame linked to 6 chapters on the video timeline. Compiled to Audio_TS and Video_TS files. Using PowerDVD to play from the Video_TS.

    1. Menu displays with highlight on frame-1.
    2. Click the play button and video playback replaces the menu. This is normal.

    3. Menu display with highlight on frame-2. (frames 2 - 6 actually)
    4. Click the play button. Audio jumps but menu keeps displaying. Video playback does NOT replace the menu.

Is this a known problem with DVDLab?

Can you go Project / Generate Report / Links & Commands -- and save that as a text file.

Then can you post the results?

FWIW, no, it's not a common or known problem.

When I click Project, there are 9 items listed. There is no "Generate Report" listed.
Maybe the trial version of DVDLab (not studio or Pro) does not have that feature.

    Thanks,

    Hi MKS,

Sorry, you are right that the Standard and Studio versions do not have that type of reporting.

I don't know what is going on with your project. Can you explain in detail how you setup your project. Or would it be possible for you to download the TRIAL of PRO, setup the project the same way, and then run the reporting?

    Regards,
    George

Hope this image works. First time trying it.

(Double click image to see a bigger copy)

I made a 10 sec m2v video of my copyright first play. End of playback or user pressing TITLE button on remote goes to the scene selection menu which is the ROOT menu. Being the root menu allows the TITLE button on the remote to jump there.

The scene selection menu has 6 frames which are linked to the 6 chapter points in my movie. My movie is about 14 minutes long. At end of movie playback, it links back to the scene selection root menu. Or if user presses TITLE button during playback the scene selection menu appears.

The scene selection menu has audio so when that song ends, it loops back on itself.

Did I do anything to prevent the chapter frames to link to the movie?
    Thanks,

The chapter links on the scene selection menu do work on a burned DVD playback from a settop DVD player. They just don't work using Power DVD on my PC.

The funny thing is that I've authored using Adobe Encore and all the chapter links always work perfectly using the same Power DVD player on the same PC. It seems that DVDLab does something to the chapter links on the menu that the Power DVD does not like. Wonder if DVDLab is slightly non standard?

    Thanks,
    mks

I use PowerDVD as part of my testing for all my DLP authored discs, and haven't had this problem.

Maybe my copy of Power DVD is too old. I got it as a freebie on a CD for another paid for software a few years ago. I'll see if I can get the latest version for free.

Any other suggestions for a good DVD player for the PC if I gotta buy one? (anyone)
    Thanks,
    mks
