Hi,
I use Avi2Dvd software to convert an avi file into DVD content. Hence, I have 2 directory created in my HDD, Audio_TS and Vieo_TS.
Why can't I just write these files into a 4.7GB DVD but instead have to go through another conversion process like using Nero Vision Express 2? Is there a better software to write the content into the DVD disc beside Nero?

You should never put anything compliant through NeroVision. What you should use is the Burning ROM component of Nero (this is the actual burning engine) and the DVD Video template. Copy the contents of the video_ts folder to the video_ts folder in the template, and burn.
Of you can use imgtools classic to create an ISO of your disc, and use imgburn to burn it (much better than Nero, IMO)Read my blog here.
