  1. Has anyone been able to update firmware in the Daytek P30
    made after summer of 2004? I have tried using Lite-on
    firmware changing the file name as indicated in earlier post
    Motherboard:LV5006A REV:01
    Manufactured Date:Aug 2004
    Firmware:1090
    What am doing wrong?

    Tried 5001 and 5005 updates
    Also tried differant SN

    Well, if you makes you feel any better, I'm still having trouble with making my LiteOn 5001 take any of the new hacks. I want 3-hour without jitter, and supposedly the new ones (after 1x63) can do this.

    cchang gave me his working 5001 (1176 fw) hacks, and they spit out as "data disc" on my unit.

    I use to have an older daytek with 5001
    frmware. I had no trouble updating from your site.

  7. Ok finally got top off my daytek p30, says LVW5006a rev 1 and drive is ddw451s, any help on getting the 3 hour mode to work?-thanks
