question about DVD Patcher / bmps filename / palette / colours...

Hi, I'm trying to build a firmware for the philips dvp630 with the 1st and 2nd codepages modified with my own outlined font, there's no problem with the first one, but in the second one I want semitransparent background..

Tried changing colors in the bmp palette and found that maybe the second number in the bmp filename (XX here -> 00279_00_XX_4_bit.bmp) has something to do with colors. If someone knows what that number means tell me please.

Well, after flashing the firm I'm getting the white as black, black as white, semitransparent as black or as transparent, even I'm pretty sure to have seen a pink elephant, but cant get the white font, black outlined and with semitransparent background...

Please help.

You may want to do a search on firmware. There have been other posts here about firmware that I have seen (642 in particular). And I know one of the hacked firmware updates changed the subtitile colors/background. Maybe you could use it as a reference to figure out what you need to know.
