    Please can anyone help me my dvd recorder panasonic DMR ES 10 doesn't register colours of my DVD's only black and white: it must be very simple but nowhere I don't find the solution. What did I wrong please?

  2. Using SCART? S-video? Composite? The symptom you are seeing is what you get with s-video only the luma channel connected. This is a problem with some SCART to s-video converters.

    you are very friendly jagabo but I'm too stupid in technolgy to understand y're answer. I live in another house now and the man on internet did something wrong with the connections I think. Could you explain it more simple to me, maybe with a little picture how I have to connect? Thanks very much

  4. There are three main analog video connections commonly used between a DVD player/recorder and a TV.

    s-video:

    The problem you describe isn't likely with a straight composite/composite, or s-video/s-video cable (a broken s-video cable might have it), or SCART/SCART cable. But it is very common when using a SCART/S-video cable like this one:

    because the adaptor isn't meant to be used in that way.

    Everything is solved by your response. It was indeedf a badf connection by internet. They didn't want to help me or for 75 euro they did want to help me why they did make the bad connection. Thanks, thanks , thanks!

    But good to know that there are good persons in the world, I lost my husband (cancer) a few months ago and now looking ad DVD's is for me a sort of escaping from the tremendous reality.
