    Have a bit of an issue. This computer in question has the "dual drive" plate thingy but well look for yourself


    Hope that shows up. Notice the 2nd drive spot (top spot) closest to the camera? it bundges OUT a bit making it to wide for a drive.

    Am I missing something here?

    The tray is OK the way it is. It is not too wide for a second drive as the two long metal leafs bend inwards like a spring when you tighten the screws.

    Yes, go ahead, you're not gonna break anything. I have also two drives in my G4.

    Carefully choose the drive as any size above 120GB will not be recognized.

    You might need a PCI-IDE or SATA controller (with SATA drive then) that has not such limitation, or you go for an external Firewire drive.

    You have two more brackets for drives if such controller is used.
