I have two drives of the same make and model in my brand new system, one has the OS installed on it, the other doesn't. They were both bare when I bought them. W7 only detects the drive with the OS installed, obviously, however my second drive doesn't show up. BIOS detects it just fine and I tried changing SATA slots, that did not work.

    Any suggestions?

Only shows up where ? Windows Explorer ?

What about in Disk Management ? If it was bare, it may still have to be partitioned and formatted before Windows can use it.

The drive is not showing up under "Computer", however it shows in the device manager.

You were correct, it needed to be formatted. Thanks for the quick solution. Cheers.
