Hi,
I am cleaning up some TV shows that I have in .AVI format with Divx codec. Once I clean up the video, I will save to .AVI format of course.
I want to do just one episode first to see how it looks, before I start spending a lot of time on the other episodes.
My question is, is there a fast and simple a way I can convert the first cleaned up .AVI file to a format that I can play in my standalone DVD player? Then I can see how it looks on TV before I proceed with the other episodes?
Thansk!!!!

Use Virtualdub to save a minute or so of the video then convert to MPEG2 and see how it looks.

Would my standalone DVD player be able to play the MPEG2 format? Without having to convert it to .VOB and all that junk first?

Use a RW DVD and see if it plays, if not you'll have to author it.

You could use the old free version of DivxtoDVD to convert your AVI.
