I have a dvd that i demux with DGMPGDec. I have my one (1) video; m2v file and one (1) audio; ac3. I have an additional ac3 file. I used ifoedit to mux the one video file and the two audio files. i created a text file for the chapters. i completed the process. i have a folder with the ifos and bups files. i tried burning the files with nero and with dvdshrink. i tested the dvd on three different dvd players. On one i was able to switch between the audio tracks. On another one it did not load and on the last dvd player it froze up when trying to switch between the audio tracks. please help.

IFOEdit has been fairly notorious for being "dicey" when authoring NTSC. Maybe try another authoring tool such as DVDAuthorGUI ?
If in doubt, Google it. -
O! This is piece of cake. Demux existing title set with all languages, audios and subtitles with VobEdit. Then export form that title chapters. Then author new DVD with Ifoedit containing all video, audio, subtitles and chapters you extracted plus the new audio. Then open the old video in VobBlanker, and replace title with new one.
There are more comprehensive guides on the internet.
Switching between ac3 and mp2 should not be a problem. They can coexist peacefully on one video.Cann't tell it's possible don't tell anything. -
Ifoedit dose ntsc fine if the frame rate is actually true fps rate , and not something using pulldown ... it don't work well .
Rejig is better though ... but only ifoedit allow's the editing of information within ifo's and correction's .
Be carefull with audio ... it is usual for all audio stream's to be the same length or these issue's become apparent .
=============
Two player's to check if all is correct :
Ifoedit can playback dvd on hd , and non-protected dvd disc's (do not use on xp) , win98 / 98se / me / 2000nt are fine ...
If ifoedit show's no problem's during playback and nav ... it is 100% safe for burning .
Koolplaya for xp ... appear's to function just as well as ifoedit player ... should be considered safe , even if nero questioned it during playback ...
=============
Not all dvd player's are the same either ... some can behave and show erratic behavior even though another player had no issue's ...
These depend on , dirty or worn out len's ... poor len's power calibration ... only like's dvd-r ... then it come's to hardware instruction set ... much more complicated knowledge ...
A basic example of hardware instruction type :
One dvd player display's correct video res on screen .
Another show's it in extreme wide screen .
=============
Now as for ifoedit ...
Did you forget the "get vts sector's" on both ifo's , then make the required change's to video / audio / subtitle stream's in the two new ifo's , followed up be saving them last two ???
No
Now you know what the problem was ... if you dont do this correcting bussiness , this is why you is having the issue ...
=============
Back to my hacking ... currently playing with ifo's with res of 1080x720 ...
