  1. Can DVD Shrink output a DVD disk without using Nero? Some other burning software, perhaps?

I saw where it said to burn a disk install Nero. Is this the only way?
I am a newbie to this video stuff so please don't give me alot of high tech mumbo-jumbo, just the facts.

  2. Either Nero or DVD Decrypter has to be loaded onto you system in order for the "burn" option to appear. DVD Shrink has no built in burning engine of its own.

Or ImgBurn! Follow this guide to "fool" DVDShrink into burning with ImgBurn, instead of with DVDDecrypter.

CopyToDVD falls into that category as well AFAIK.

As for the OP, you can output to Hard Disk Folders (a VIDEO_TS directory on your hard drive) or an ISO Image without requiring Nero at all. You can then burn with whatever you want. There's even a ISO Image and Burn with DVDDecrypter option as well.
    If in doubt, Google it.
