Ok, like most people I have 1000's of mp3s on my pc. What I dont like is not all songs seem to be recorded the same...i.e. they have varying volumes.
One song will be playing at the volume I want and when the next song comes on it is can be much louder or lower. Under certain circumstances like when I have music playing just for some background noise at a low volume and it a song comes on that blows the speakers apart it can be quite annoying.

Is there any software or a way to make everything come on at the same volume level?

    Maybe try http://www.mp3doctor.com/normalize.htm or
http://www.tomdownload.com/audio_mp3/utilities_plug_ins/mp3_normalizer.htm. I haven't tried either program so I have no idea how they will do the job. There might be better programs out there though.
