I usually use DVDFab Decrypter to rip, vobblanker to take out contents, dvdshrink to transcode, and Nero 7 to burn. I always keep WS movie, menus, and a few extras. I noticed starting with North Country that the audio tracks for the extras were not being kept. Went through the process chain and made sure all my tools were updated with the latest version or patch. I originally thought vobblanker was to blame- only a few movies had the audio missing from the DVD extras section.
Today I just finished backing-up Running Scared and Firewall. Again all my DVD extras had missing audio. Went back to the original rip files created by DvdFab Decrepter 2979 and sampled the unedited files with DvdShrink- video was fine, but no audio track. Four audio streams for the DVD Extras section was showing with 0MB sizes. Went ahead and re-rip the movies with SmartRipper241. This time when I sampled the DVD extras, DvdShrink showed a fifth audio stream- used by the extras.
Both movies had their DVD extras audio files in the fifth stream. Don't know if this is going to be a common problem. Have to look for my original copy of North Country and see if the DVD extras on that disc had its audio on a fifth stream.
Has anyone had similar problems with their DVD extras?
