    I need to cut out 4 - 5 minutes with audio from a DVD movie for a quiz competition (video round) - any easy program that will let me snip off and save the part i want and save it say as mpg or avi

    DVD Shrink in reauthor mode to grab just the bit you want, then vob2mpeg to convert to mpeg

    I use MPEG Video Wizard. No conversion needed. Save in MPEG2
