That really depend's on how far you wish to get into it .

Ulead video studio ... dose everything and more ... some user's have had issue's though .
Nero ... for burning anything , it's fine ... crap everywhere else , and no good at dl burning .

Dvdauthorgui + pgcedit + dvd decrypter = a complete dl authoring sollution .

Vdub + bbmpeg + super + gimp + besweet + vobedit + ifoedit / rejig + dvdshrink + slideshow movie maker + dvdslideshowgui + visualsubsync + subrip + srt2sup + subtitleworkshop + folder2iso + avisynth + blender + wax2 + codec's + audiocity ... and another 60 plus free app's .

I own nero and ulead video studio , the only two commercial product's for video and burning I bought ... the rest are all freeware ...

Might also be the only one converting anything to dvd for friend's ... any format to dvd ... resize , convert frame rate's , and author with fancy motion menu's ... just for the hell of it

50 or more clip's at a time .

Yes I get paid ... otherwise this would send people insane .

Last project ... 1400 cd track's converted to ac3 to dvd ... with menu's

You name it , when it come's to dvd creation ... I go nutt's .

I have used VideoStudio 8 SE to create MPEG2, LPCM slide shows for burning to DVD. The compatibilty seems high for most DVD players (USA, NTSC). However I would like to use AC3 (Dolby Digital) instead of LPCM for audio.

VideoStudio 8 SE was packaged free with my Liteon burner, but does not have the option for AC3. Soooo its time to look for an upgrade, I noticed Uleads new VideoStudio 10 does encode to AC3.

Other than higher compatibilty?? and reduced audio size on disk are there other advantages to using AC3??

Does VideoStudio 10 offer any other advantages??
