is there anyway to re do dvd menu's once the dvd has been created, have made a few mistakes on some dvd's i've made and would like to correct them

Well there are a few tools around which allow you to manipulate menus but the easiest way would be to redo the DVD using the *_S2D.mpg files. This way those file will not be reprocessed and you can recreate your menu.
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
