  1. I want to play a rmvb Video clip on a regular DVD player. So I need to convert the clip to mpeg whch I can use as input to TMPGEncDVD author. I have tried SUPER and TMPGEnc and WINavi convertor. The conversion process hang in the middle of conversion. When I played the clip using real player, it freezes about 19 minutes into the clip. But If I skip over the spot, the play will continue. I am not sure if there are other bad spots in the clip. But I think this is the cause of the freeze during conversion.
Any suggestion on how can I skip over the bad spots during conversion ?

Unless you can open it in manner that allows you to edit it out the corruption, I can't see anything converting it. If you can use a real media directshow filter, you might be able to open it in avisynth, using the trim function to get just the parts you need, then frameserve to an encoder. Real Alternative contains such a filter.
